**There is no one-size-fits-all slippage setting.**

The default slippage setting on Trojan on Solana is 15%, which is a good place to start.

We recommend **adjusting your slippage setting up or down based on your individual trading style or situation.** When trading volatile tokens like a newly launched meme coin, sniping, or copy trading a heavily followed wallet, you’ll likely need a higher setting. If you’re turning MEV off for speed, or if you are sticking to more established, high market cap tokens, you'll likely use a lower setting. Most traders tend to mix it up, so they will adjust slippage based on the situation.

If you frequently encounter timeouts or transaction failures due to "slippage exceeded", consider increasing your slippage percentage.
